NGV Waterwall - signed by the artist
Black & White Photograph, 1968-71
Archival pigment print on cotton rag paper, signed by Angus O’Callaghan
Is there a child in any of us who doesn’t remember the cold, wet flow of water through our fingers and down our arms from the cascading Waterwall at NGV’s entrance? Architect Sir Roy Grounds drew upon the vernacular of the ubiquitous Melbourne fish and chip shop in creating this monument for the young, captured here with several silhouetted figures. This work forms part of NGV’s collection.
