Princes Bridge, Evening is a beautiful moody winter dusk scene and has become one of Angus’s most widely recognised works after appearing on the cover of Ben Albrecht’s book Angus O’Callaghan, Melbourne, published in 2015 (now no longer in print). Angus has described returning to the scene on multiple occasions and waiting to capture the light and reflection. St.Pauls Cathedral and the Gas & Fuel Building place the scene unmistakably.
